Duties include:
Provide exceptional customer service
Pre-screen clients to help evaluate their vision needs
Evaluate and interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists based on patient needs within their scope of practice
Take and record accurate details of patient’s optical and facial particulars to source the best fit and style
Assist clients with the selection and fitting of prescription contact lenses, spectacle lenses, frames, and sunglasses
Work with provided equipment to adjust or design contact lenses and frames for clients
Complete additional daily office tasks such a record keeping, insurance payment processing, maintaining accurate inventory, and tracking requests
Support patients in scheduling optometrist appointments
Create work orders for the lab and provide all relevant information for manufacturing lenses
All tasks associated with contact lens fitting and evaluations
Maintain a safe and exceptional level of health care cleanliness at all times
General office duties to support the efficiency and smooth operation of the store
Requirements:
Registered and Licensed Optician in good standing with the College of Opticians of Ontario
Excellent customer service skills
Strong computer knowledge and administrative abilities
Excellent communication skills; pleasant telephone manner
